This guide is based on our personal experience, along with insights shared by riders who have completed sections—or the entirety of the rides like Backcountry Discovery Routes. Check out the WABDR section guide. We are currently working on guides for all the BDR’s, TransAmerica Trail, and Northwest Passage Adventure Route.

We are not affiliated with the official BDR organization or any official organization for that matter. We’re simply a group of riders who care deeply about backcountry travel and want to support and promote the adventure riding community. Our goal is to create a rider-supported hub where shared experience, practical knowledge, and honest feedback come together in one place.
